More about Fiddlers' Tour

A different location each month.  Based in the NY Capital region.

Open to all musicians:  Any age, any ability - REALLY! Come if you play only by ear! Music books and music stands are also welcome! If you do a little by ear, a little by site reading, this is the gathering for you too!

For acoustic instruments such as fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, flute, auto harp, dulcimer, harmonica, pennywhistle, bodhran, hand drums and/or light percussion instruments, uke, upright bass, etc.

We play "traditional" fiddle tunes: Celtic, French-Canadian, Old-Time American and international fiddle tunes (jigs, reels, marches, waltzes) that are often used in contra & barn dances. Many tunes can be found in tune books (i.e. Fiddlers' Fakebook, Portland Collection, Waltz Books, New England Fiddlers' Repertoire, etc), and some tunes are original works.
